Cirque du Soleil is considered to be one of the best circus performances in the world, if not history. If there has to be a Cirque du Soleil for musical performance, Nine Inch Nails live is it. Now I know most of you are saying, "well this is kind of biased since you're a devoted fan of Nine Inch Nails." Well this is true so lets me sit and think about the live show I experienced last night trying to be a non fan who just went for the hell of it.
No matter how I think about it, and put myself in the shoes of someone who doesn't know much about Nine Inch Nails, I still think the band performance and show was just plain amazing. There are no bands out there that has such intense production value as Nine Inch Nails does. I seriously think that some motion graphic artists and designers should go see Nine Inch Nails shows not for the music but even for the visual aesthetics. It is INSPIRING.
The energy of the music, accompanied by the visual aesthetic and presentation was perfectly well organized. It is indeed thought provoking to think how much time and effort Trent Reznor has put into his live shows. There are ton of videos up on Youtube of the NIN shows so I suggest if you are somewhat interested or want to see what I am talking about to search "Lights in the Sky Nine Inch Nails" Or "Nine Inch Nails Live 2008" to check out what I am talking about. But really, all in all, you have to be there to really see the amazing visual performance Nine Inch Nails has put out this time around.
