1920 desktop wallpapers
December 14, 2008 | Published by Chris Takakura |
As promised for a long while now, 1920 versions of my desktop wallpapers has been released in the downloads > desktop wallpapers page. The following desktop wallpapers have been released under 1920 format:
Eternus Somnium
Stridence
Trance Minimum: Kasha
Afterburner
Techangel TT
Alice (mitsu)
The first 4 I mentioned were easy to convert to 1920 since the original design was done bigger than that.
Techangel TT however has a slight quality loss
Alice (mitsu) has no quality loss but does not cover up the whole screen but added elements to it that supports the screen size yet enjoy the art work.
Please understand that the last 2 were designed a long time ago without 1920 resolution in consideration so it is really difficult to convert it to 1920 without it looking horrible. There will be more conversions from my previous wallpapers to be released in the near future in the best way possible. Any future wallpaper releases will always support wide screen format.
Last night of the Lights in the Sky tour from Nine Inch Nails was last night. Good video here:

There has been a major system upgrade done to the blogging software. Authors, please familiarize yourself by logging in and checking out the new interface. Most of it is a new interface issue. Nothing major has changed in terms of way you post text and images. Thank you.

2012

I had to post this classic funny video before I go on about 2012:
So anyway, no this is not some religious post about the year 2012 and the apocalypse (I am agnostic). No this is not a lengthy post about all the reasons to believe we are going to all die. This is actually a bit humorous.
So people are stating that December 21st, 2012 is the day in astronomy that is an extremely close conjunction of the Winter Solstice Sun with the crossing point of the Galactic Equator. Galactic Equator as in the equator of the milky way. And not only the galactic equator but the Ecliptic, which basically is the path of the sun. This event doesn’t happen for thousands and thousands of years. Who knows if it even happened when mankind existed.
